We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Brown as the new Director of Rugby at Reading Abbey RFC.
Gareth is not new to us as he was a player and skipper for both Abbey RFC and Berkshire back in the late 80s, early 90s. Gareth has never really been out of rugby and has vast experience as a player and coach as well as having many friends and contacts within the rugby world. Besides being able to bring his knowledge & experience to Abbey Gareth has brilliant people skills and bucket loads of ideas and enthusiasm. Gareth will oversee all rugby at Abbey and is keen to work with all sections of our club and is not afraid to get his kit on and get out there to be hands on with all our coaches from time to time. We believe Gareth will be a real asset to Abbey rugby club as he was as a player and look forward a long and successful relationship.
